Cc & Bcc

Carbon Copy is not generally used in mass mail outs but is often used in Alerts and Notification.

Just add the Cc, Bcc line (or both) to your template as shown below:

Note:  The syntax is the same for both Plain Text and HTML email.

Note: Bcc can also be used to exceed ISP (internet service provider) sending limits.  Click here for more info

EXAMPLE

 

Cc: 

From: "Senders Name" <sender's email address>
To: "
Recipients Name" <recipient's email address>
Cc: "Cc Name" <Cc email address>

Date: %TimeStamp%
Subject:
Put your subject line here

Put your 'message' here.

Bcc: 

From: "Senders Name" <sender's email address>
To: "
Recipients Name" <recipient's email address>
Bcc: "Bcc Name" <Bcc email address>

Date: %TimeStamp%
Subject:
Put your subject line here

Put your 'message' here.

Both: 

From: "Senders Name" <sender's email address>
To: "
Recipients Name" <recipient's email address>
Cc: "Cc Name" <Cc email address>

Bcc: "Bcc Name" <Bcc email address>

Date: %TimeStamp%
Subject: Put your subject line here

Put your 'message' here.

Multiple Recipients

Multiple Recipients are not generally used in mass mail outs but are often used in Alerts and Notification.

Just add a semicolon ';' between each recipient's email address.

It can be used for:  'To, Cc and Bcc addresses. 

Example shows usage in a Bcc:

From: "Senders Name" <sender's email address>
To: "Recipients Name" <recipient's email address>
Bcc: <Address 1>; <Address 2>;<Address 3>

Date: %TimeStamp%
Subject: Put your subject line here

Put your 'message' here.

 

Notes: A blank line is required between the 'Subject' and the email 'Message' body.
